Halloween Bash!!

I am holding a Halloween Bash/Recital at my home on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:00. Costumes are strongly encouraged and those coming in costume will be entered into a drawing for a Spooky door prize.

Because of the size of my living room, this concert is for students only. It should last about 1 hour and will be followed by refreshments. I can have your child call you when they are finished if that is convenient for you.

Please remember to have your student mark their practice time and get your signature for our Super Star Practicing Contest. It will run through the end of the month. A $25.00 gift card is the Grand Prize and a $10.00 gift card is the 2nd prize.

Recitals

This recital is for those students who are participating in the MTNA Competition. The recital will be held on Monday, October 27th at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on the corner of Sunnyside and Rollandet.

There are two recitals: 6:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m. If you have not let me know which recital you prefer please do so this week.

I have scheduled a later recital on Wednesday, November 5th at Piano Gallery -6:00 p.m for those students who are not quite ready for the October recital.

I will be making a note on your students notebook under “Please Take Note”. Be sure to check.

2008 MTNA Piano Competition

The Competition will be held the weekend of November 7th & 8th. I just received the schedule and will be emailing those today. I will also have the schedule at the recital. I will be sending your scheduled times home and also by email as soon as I get them. If your student is chosen to be one of the two to perform in the recital - they are required to be there. First Alternate Honorable Mention is also required to attend. It is my studio policy to require the attendance of all students who have participated or who would like to participate next year. You can choose which of the two recitals is most convenient if you are not required to be at a particular one. It is a highly beneficial educational experience to see their peers perform in this concert. I would strongly encourage all of my students to attend one of the concerts.
